What is your approach to design?
I have a ‘can do’ attitude and strongly believes that anything should be possible.
My specialist technical knowledge lies in designing plastic injection moulded components for high volume manufacture with a high emphasis on designing products for cost effective manufacture and intuitive assembly.
What are your three favourite designed products?
Forth Rail Bridge – iconic, ahead of its time, elegant.
Harrier Jump Jet – innovative, insect like, intimidating.
The Paper Clip – beautifully simple.
What interests you?
Sport and travelling in general. If I could I would spend all of my time travelling around the world attending all of the major sporting events; what a life that would be!
What product could you not live without?
Not being able to live without my car sounds a bit dramatic but it certainly would be inconvenient!
