Ewan

Technical Director

With a career that spans over 30 years, Ewan’s skills lie in scoping projects, overseeing the design direction for projects and problem solving. Never complacent, he seeks out new insights and pragmatic approaches that help our clients achieve their objectives. From a detailed injection mould design to office logistics, he’s our man.

What is your approach to design?
It is not in my nature to be complacent and I seek out new insights and pragmatic approaches to help our clients achieve their objectives. I keep solutions simple and elegant whenever possible.

What are your three favourite designed products?
Spitfire – love its beauty in motion and the noise of it.
Gibson ‘Flying V’ Guitar – revolutionary angular design (for the time) that still holds a spell over me
The red telephone box – made communication accessible to all, is instantly identifiable and was designed to last.

Do you have any hidden talents?
I’ve built my own Rally Car and competed in a number of Tarmac Rallies.

What product could you not live without?
Has to be a Dremel tool set for building and fixing my radio controlled gliding and powered aircraft.
