i4pd Launches Project Office Support Location in Shoreditch, London

February 11, 2022

Since its foundation 18 years ago, i4 Product Design has experienced evolutionary change; growing from 4 founders that specialised in plastic design and engineering to a team of 30 people who undertake full product development, tackling complex system-level designs for cutting edge tech companies. 2021 saw i4pd achieve employee ownership and expand its leadership team. Today, i4pd announces the official opening of its project support office location in Shoreditch, London.

Located inside the TEA Building in the heart of Shoreditch, the 1930s tea factory plays host to a range of creative companies and is a highly professional work environment. The premises is tastefully decorated and hosts a range of private meeting rooms and hot desking areas, with high-spec equipment, plus prints by Le Corbusier and Eduardo Chillida decorating the studio space.

Business Development Director, Tristan Elliott, comments,

“London was a sensible choice for us and for our clients. Because Shoreditch is at the heart of British product design, our clients can get in touch with us easily — all they have to do is drop in for a cup of coffee, clients can virtually book coffee conversations with us using our online automated service, and we are now accepting face-to-face chats and consultations.”

According to Elliott, the Shoreditch office serves as i4 Product Design’s support centre.

“To continue to provide expert and financially sustainable Industrial Design, Mechanical, Electronic and Software Engineering solutions, our head office will remain in Scotland, in our Edinburgh headquarters located within the stunning green landscape of the Mortonhall Estate. Now that we have adapted to the new working conditions with hybrid, flexible working arrangements, it means that we are now looking to grow the team outside of Edinburgh and Glasgow.”

“We look forward to welcoming new team members and clients from the South of England and internationally to our new Shoreditch office,” adds Tristan. He continues, “Here, in our Shoreditch office, we are equipped to guide companies through the complex process of developing and bringing their product to market.”
